Today, more than ever, couples are having a difficult time getting pregnant. Whether it's due to an increased level of stress in today's times or poor diet, no one really knows for sure. But the facts are:

The average chance of becoming pregnant each cycle is only 20%.

One out of every six couples has trouble conceiving and/or carrying a child to term.

There are an estimated 2.4 million new infertility cases each year in the U.S. alone.

The number of children born as a result of assisted reproductive technologies is
growing each year. In 2005, that number was more than 52,000 according to the
CDC -- compared to 14,500 in 1996.

Hence, the reason for me creating this blog. A great wealth of information exists that can be very helpful in assisting aspiring parents to conceive. My wife and I had difficulties getting pregnant. We had been trying for nearly 7 months and decided it was time to seek help.

We started searching online for information and tips on how to increase our chance of getting pregnant. There were a number of great resources we found and I definitely believe they helped us to finally conceive our first child, a baby girl who is due in February. We are very ecstatic and thought it would be good to give back and share with others some of the info we found most helpful.

Over the next few weeks (or months if I can find enough good info to share) I will be posting once or twice a week sharing some of the resources we found most helpful.
